Then a short walk through the riverside vegetation takes you to Yuri falls and its pink sand beach, you have time to take a quick swim or simply enjoy the scenery. • Orchid Island: A full day excursion that begins with a short walk to the level where the Hacha Falls originate, then to Puerto Ucaima where the "Curiara" (Indian canoes) take you along the river to Orchid Island. En route you will enjoy the exquisite scenery of the river and the ancient mountains "Tepuys". Picnic style barbecue lunch and a chance to explore Orchid Island before your return trip. • Kavac Canyon: Located in Kamarata Valley southeast of famed Auyantepuy table-top mountain, is the Indian village of Kavac. You'll enjoy aerial viewing of the falls (weather permitting of course) en route to Kavac and then your native Pemon Indian guide will take you hiking to the Kavac Canyon and Tabanarempa Falls. Lunch is included en route. NOTE: Bring an extra pair of shoes; one pair will get wet during the excursion. A variety of excursions are available from your Lodge or camp. Included or as an option in all packages is a canoe trip on the Canaima Lagoon viewing the Hacha Falls, and / or a over flight of the Angel Falls (if the weather permits). Kavak Falls. The roar of the white water is magnified by the canyon, you can have a swim in this strange, beautiful place. Top Auyantepuy. The top of Angel Falls, a lost world with unique flora and fauna. Salto Hacha. Breathtaking wonder, you can actually walk behind the waterfall to admire the waterfall from a strange, different angle. Curiaras on Orchid Island. A motorized curiara will take you through the rivers to Orchid Island. Canaima Lagoon. You can go aboard a curiara and approach this wonderful group of waterfalls, Salto El Sapo and Salto El Sapito. It is like being at several waterfalls at the same time. Waku Lodge. This Camp is located in front of the Canaima Lagoon, very comfortable, has a small park in front of it. Camp Parakaupa. This camp is comfortable.
