A Journey into Canaima National Park and the turquoise Caribbean islands of Los Roques.

Day 1.

Arrival at Venezuela.

• Arrival at the Maiquetia International Airport.

• Assistance In the Maiquetia International Airport   (Simon Bolivar) provided by our bilingual guide. Short Transfer to Hotel Santiago (20 minutes), accommodation in the Hotel with beach front view.

Day 2.

La Guaira - Maiquetia  – Los Roques.

• Departure from Maiquetia for Los Roques.

• The tropical paradise with over 365 islands and some 95 miles off the north coast of Venezuela.

The crystal clear warm turquoise waters with an abundance of healthy coral reefs and complete virgin islands are teeming with underwater life, Turtles, Sting rays, Grouper, Angelfish, White spotted filefish, Barracuda, and Moray eels still undiscovered by most divers and fisherman.

Scuba Diving and bone fishing can be arranged and included in your holiday package.

With a degree of National Park, all sites in the archipelago are limited to 10 divers or fishermen, so you get the intimate feeling of diving in untamed, untouched waters. Most often, you will be the only divers in any given area. Visibility varies, but can reach 100 feet. At the coral-laden wall at Cayo Sal, you can take a break inside a cavern at 100 feet and watch as tens of thousands of fish swim by castles of hard coral and tall, swaying bushes of soft corals.

Here you can enjoy snorkeling as well, just floating on the surface you will discover the best part of the marine life.

The clarity of the water allows you to see schools of fish and coral reefs while staying near the water’s surface. Or you may opt for the complimentary boat trip to a nearby deserted cayo with nothing more than a cooler, lunch, and umbrella. Fishermen will find Los Roques to be a heaven for flats fishing.

Bonefishing are abundant year-round, and tarpon are also easily caught in these waters. There is a first class windsurf club located on adjacent Cayo Francisky. They rent a variety of equipment for excursions ranging from one hour to a full day of Kite or windsurfing. Private Kite surfing instruction for beginners is now possible.

• Accommodations are either onboard a sailboat or in Posada (small Lodge), with comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. All meals are included in your stay (on board a sailboat you will enjoy an open bar as well), and optional excursions can be easily arranged through the guesthouse.

• From your Posada (hotel) you may spend the day exploring the surrounding islands with a small fishing boat.

Day 3 - 4.

Los Roques.

• From the Posada or Sailboat a full-day boat tour can be arranged to visit Dos Mosquises Biological Research Station, located to the very west of the archipelago.

• At Dos Mosquises you will visit the biological station attended by the local guide who will provide you with a tour of the marine turtle hatchery. For those who want to stay on dry land, Gran Roque's lighthouse, the oldest on the Venezuelan coast, is recommended for a late afternoon visit as a great spot to enjoy the sunset.

Day 5.

Los Roques - Caracas – Canaima National Park.

• Arriving mid day at the Canaima National Park, flying over the massive tepuy's into the remote Amazon of Venezuela.

• After a short dugout canoe ride up the Carrao River, you’ll find the Ucaima Camp, which is ideally situated on the river banks close to Hacha Falls with views of three Tepuys and the giant Auyantepui in the distance.

• Here you’ll find abundant wildlife including jaguars, monkeys, toucans, fisher eagles and royal herons. Accommodations are in comfortable cabins with private bathrooms. All meals included.

Day 6.

Canaima National Park.

• Enjoy the day either with optional excursions, or just a relax in the tranquil surroundings of the Camp. You may take a dugout canoe day or overnight trip to the Angel Falls, the world's highest waterfall, cascading 3,212 feet into the jungle below.

• An over flight of the falls is possible as well, please look at day tours. Another great day trip is to Kavak Canyon, one of the narrowest canyons in the world.

• Guided by local Indians, you'll wade and swim through the canyon to the hidden Waterfall of Kavak.

• The park is also home to a small settlement of Pemon Indians, the original inhabitants of this Venezuela, Tierra de Magica, whose wooden adobe churatas (Wooden building with palm leave roof) dwellings have changed little in thousands of years.

• A half day trip to the Sapo Falls is an exciting way to explore the Canaima Lagoon with a motorized canoe. You can walk behind the falls and swim nearby. Afterward, travel up the Caño Moroco stream to see the El Venado and El Zamuro table Mountains.

Day 7.

Canaima – Caracas.

• Return to Caracas and overnight at the Hotel Santiago.

Day 8.

Return back home.

At Mirador Alexander Laime. At last at the world's tallest waterfall, the most ancient of the big falls and the only one with unique flora and fauna.

Kavak Falls. The roar of the white water is magnified by the canyon, you can have a swim in this strange, beautiful place.

Canaima Lagoon. You can go aboard a curiara and approach this wonderful group of waterfalls, Salto El Sapo and Salto El Sapito. It is like being at several waterfalls at the same time.
